Know when to book your train tickets.
Advance fares move up and down at unpredictable times. A ticket search only shows you today's price. We help you spot when a fare moves, so you can book when the price looks right to you.

“I built this to save myself the admin of checking train fares every day and hoping I'd catch a drop in time. It has saved me thousands of pounds since. I hope you find it useful too, and I'd love to hear what you think, so drop me an email any time. Happy travels.”
Questions
Is this another train ticket search engine?
No. A search shows you today's fare once. We check the same trains again and again, keep a record of how each fare has moved, and tell you when it changes.
Does this only track Advance fares?
Mostly, yes. We show the cheapest ticket we can find for each train, and that is usually an Advance fare. Those are also the ones worth watching: walk-up fares like Anytime and Off-Peak are set prices and almost never move, so there is nothing to tell you about them.
How often are fares checked?
Every day on Pro and during your first 14 days. Once a week, on Sunday, on Free. You can also check yourself from your dashboard at any time.
Does Train Fares Tracker guarantee a cheaper fare?
No. Fares can go down, go up or stay the same. We show you what the price has done and tell you when it changes. When to book is your call.
Does it work with my railcard?
Yes. Add your railcard when you set up and the fares we track include your discount.
Can I track more than one date or journey?
Yes. You can track up to 2 journeys. Free includes up to 5 dates across them, and Pro up to 15.
Where do I buy the ticket?
We don't sell tickets. Each fare has a Book link to an official train fare provider, which we're not connected to. Always check the price before you pay.
Is Train Fares Tracker connected to a train operator?
No. We're independent, and not affiliated with or endorsed by any train operator or ticket retailer.
